Circle

The Circle is Compass Box's global bartender programme, designed to connect the creative processes of the blending room with those of the bar. The result? The creation of wonderful pairings of ingredients, blending and serving techniques to deliver exciting and previously unimagined new drinks. The winner of the annual Circle competition is then invited to create their own Limited Edition Compass Box whisky, in partnership with Jon, for everyone to enjoy. 

Rosey Mitchell from Three Sheets was the winner of the inaugural 2018 competition, and the Cirle No. I is the whisky she created with Jon and Jill from Compass Box. Rosey wanted to make an approachable wishky to be shared with friends, something for the daytime, a whisky with brightness. She called in 'sunshine in a glass'. 

The Circle No. 1 is based around a parcel of fruity and creamy single malt from the Tamdhu Distillery in Speyside. This is supported by malt whisky from the Clynelish Distillery. A touch of peated malt whisky from an Orkney distillery and a small proportion of a French oak-finished blended malt whisky complete the recipe
